Tyke White face off againt South Huron 2
Lucan White had their first Friday night game of the year against the undefeated South Huron 2 team.
Lucan players knew they were in for a tough game against the rivals from South Huron. South Huron Sabres opened the scoring early in the game, but Lucan replied with a goal of their own, tying the score at one. The Sabres made it 2-1 but the Lucan squad replied yet again to knot the game at 2. This was yet another exciting close game that back and forth, with the goaltenders make lots of saves. Lucan took the lead with 10 minutes to play and the tykes looked poised to upset the Sabres. The score was 3-2 with 3 minutes remaining but the Sabres turned it up a notch and scored two goals in last 2 minutes to sneak out the victory. This was a heartbreaking loss for our squad as they deserved the victory with all their hard work. Scoring for Lucan was Matt P., Ethan P and Owen W. Assisting going to Kaiden W., Matt P. and Ryder O.. Carlee V. played phenomenal in goal for Lucan, one of the best goaltending performances of the year. Player of the Game went to Owen W. who scoring a goal for Lucan and played great in this hard fought battle.
