The Atom boys played a great weekend of hockey! The boys started the weekend Friday morning with a 3-1 win over St. Clair Shores, Michigan; later in the afternoon they played a tight game against Minto, but lost 4-3. Saturday afternoon the boys defeated Hagersville 3-1 sending Lucan to semi-finals Sunday morning.
Early Sunday morning the boys played a strong semi-final game against Centre Hastings to take the win 2-1 in overtime. The final game against Minto, Sunday afternoon was an exciting match. With five goals scored in the first period, 2 for Lucan and 3 for Minto; defence was strong in the second. In the last minute of play Lucan managed to tie it up 3-3 going into the third. Although Lucan continued to play hard, Minto kept up the pressure to win the game 5-4.
