Lucan White finishes off a busy February
Lucan had a very busy and successful February, playing 8 games and having a 6-1-1 record.
On February 16th Lucan played Ilderton Blue, the team started out slow and Ilderton took a quick lead. Lucan had a stronger second have and scored a couple goals to keep it close. Down two goals with 3 minutes to play Luke A. got a goal to make it a one goal game, then Keira P. made a great move and scored her second goal of the game. Dylan F. played net for Lucan and made keys saves to keep the game close. In the end Lucan earned a 4-4 tie. Players of the game were Luke A., Kiera P. and Lane H.
On Sunday Lucan travelled to Ilderton again to take on Ilderton Red. Lucan was ready to play from the drop of the puck on this one. James V. was manning the net and was ready to play. This was a back and forth game with many chances for each team Ilderton was up a couple goals only to see Lucan fight back and take the lead. With 6 minutes to play Lucan was up 2 goal and need a good defensive stand agains Ilderton's top line. Carson V. and Lauren D. were up for the task and help Ilderton. Lucan was able to score one more and left Ilderton game with a 10-7 win. Goals went to Luke A.(8), Dylan F. and Gracie B. Assist went to Dylan F.(2), Lauren D., Lane H., Carson V. and Bobby M. Playersof the games went to James V., Bobby M. and Carson V.
February 23 Lucan played Parkhill and was looking to end February on a winning note. Luke A., started off the scoring on a nice wrist shot. Cohen S. had his best game of the year, got in on the scoring next. Parkhill fought back and with 12 minutes to play it was a 5-5 tie. Lucan turned it up a notch and pulled away with a 10-5 win. Goals went to Luke A. (4), Dylan F.(5) and Cohen S. Assists went to Mackenzie H. (2). Tom O. played net for Lucan keeping the opponents to just 5 goals. Players of the game were Tom O., Lane H. and Cohen S....Great Work Team!
