Lucan Tyke Gold played a hard and fast game against Ilderton Jets Blue last Saturday, but came out of the game with a loss, despite some strong defensive play.
Ilderton's leading player scored six goals in the game to make it challenging for the Lucan girls and boys. However, several Lucan players were tenacious against the Ilderton player, keeping him to the outside of the ice on many occasions and limiting the shots he took on Tyler L., who was playing goal. Tyler made several strong upper body and blocker saves during the game.
Mitchell B. led Tyke Gold with a hat trick, as he found ways to solve the sprawling Ilderton net minder with some nice shots to the corners of the net. Sadie L. also scored during the game.
Kaiden W. was the Super Sport of the Game, with some extra effort and fast skating on defence. The kids are looking forward to their first game against Parkhill this coming Saturday, in Parkhill.
