Some great games in March
Lucan's Tyke Gold team has played some great games in March, winning strong games and losing some others.
The team most recently defeated Lambton Shores Black during a game in Thedford, split two games in the Tavistock tournament and split two games against its cross-town rival, Tyke Green.

Lucan Gold came out strongly against Lambton Shores Black, holding them to two goals.
Gilvan G.-C. played a great game in net, playing stand-up goaltending and allowing just two goals.
Ryder O. led the way with five goals in the game, including an early goal to set the tone for the game.
Katie D. also had two goals and the rest of the scoring was spread through the team, with Tyler L., Sadie L, Ben F., and Mitchell B. all scoring goals.
The team has also been wracking up assists in recent games, showcasing their increasing ability to pass. Mitchell B., Kaiden W., Ben F., Tyler L., Sadie L.  and Aiden M. all had assists.
Aiden M. had one of this strongest games of the season, attacking the opposing players and making some great plays with the puck.
During March Break, Tyke Gold played in the Tavistock tournament, splitting two games. Kaiden W. played well in goal both games.
The first game of the morning was against a tough Twin Centre team which piled on the scoring, despite the efforts of the Lucan team. Ryder O. scored the lone Lucan goal in the game.
Later in the morning, however, the team played a very strong game against Thamesford pulling out a strong win. Ryder O. again led the team with four goals, but Tyler L. also had a strong game with a hat trick and some nice goals. Grayson P. was an assist machine in the game, with three. Aiden M. had two, Katie D. had one, as did Tyler L. and Mitchell B.
Lucan Gold also split two games with Lucan Green during March.
In the first game, Lucan Gold  played strongly, outscoring their Lucan practice-mates for most of the game. Ryder O. had four goals, while Ben F. had two, and singles were scored by Tyler L., Katie D., Kaiden W. and Sadie L. Lucan Green's goals were scored by Reg H., three by Tyler F. and one by Joel M. Mitchell B. played well in net for Lucan Gold.
A week later, Lucan Green was pumped for the game, outskating Lucan Gold around the rink and playing some smart defensive hockey to limit Lucan Gold's strong skaters. Ben F. made numerous stops against the determined Lucan Green players.
The result was a Lucan Green win. Gold scorers included Ryder O. with four, Kaiden W and Mitchell B.
Lucan Green spread its scoring among the team. Austin C. led with three, followed by Carter L., Tyler F. Makenna D., Joel M., Reg H. and Will C. with single goals.
The game was a good lesson for Tyke Gold in maintaining intensity and being the first to the puck. They've regained their intensity and strong skating in games since.
The final game of the season will be March 23 in Lucan against Ilderton Gold.
