A last-game-of-the-year win
Lucan's Tyke Gold team finished the year strongly with a good team win against Ilderton Gold.
That made three strong-skating wins to end the season for Lucan Gold, where they were first to the puck and made some key passes to help break open the game.
Grayson Petrie made some great saves in net during the game, including a good glove save and a save off his skate.
Katie D. opened the scoring as she continued to press the net after the goalie made a save on her first shot.
Sadie L. added a second goal, and Ryder O. a third one shortly after and Tyke Gold was out to a strong lead. Ryder scored four other goals during the game as well.
Other goal scorers included Sadie L. with her second, Mitchell B., Tyler L., who just missed a second spectacular top corner goal when her shot was beaten by the buzzer, and Kaiden W.
Assists went to Mitchell B. with two, Grace C. with one, Aiden M. with one, Katie D. with one and Sadie L. with one.
It was a great year for Tyke Gold. The players showed some great improvement, especially in their team speed and agility and their understanding of the game, and that all came out in a winning record.
