Face off with Belmont...
On January 18th, Tyke White hosted Belmont. Jayden was set to be goalie...he had been practicing hard, and was looking very comfortable in the equipment and between the posts!
We knew Belmont was gonna be tough. Rumour was, they had not lost a game yet. Our team was not going to let that stop them from going out and playing hard. Within the first 10 min of the game, we quickly learned why Belmont was undefeated. Yet, even when the score was 5-0, our players were still fighting for the puck, for position and getting back on defence. Jayden was outstanding in goal!! He had some heatstopping saves and had the fans on their feet. Without his quick reflexes, and fast hands, the score would have been much different. All our players were showing hard work and determination on offence and defence. There were times that you could see our players slowing down, but it was never for long. They dug deep to find all the energy they could. The game was not a shut out for Belmont. An amazing play between Jack, Will and Zane, helped Zane get the puck by the Belmont goalie, to put us on the score board.
Belmont may have scored a few more on us, but you can be sure, they had to work hard for every goal they put in. Our team did not make things easy on them!!
Jayden's never failing effort in net earned him the game puck.
