Strong first win of the year
Lucan's Novice LM team is improving dramatically each game and came out with its first win of the year against Ilderton White on Saturday Oct. 11 in Ilderton.

The team played well in so many areas: intensity on the puck, backchecking, defence, clearing the puck from in front of their own net and moving the puck with much greater strength.
The scoring was spaced out among the team with Jaden M and Ethan H scoring their first goals of the year. Jayden tore down the wing and outpaced the Ilderton defence for a clear shot and score on the net. Ethan got his own rebound and put it past the goalie. Spencer R and Owen P had assists on Ethan's goal.
Reg H also scored a goal to make the game 3-0. Tiernan M and Grayson P had assists.
Goalie Gilvan G-C had a shut out going through the first half of the game, but Ilderton kept coming in the second half, making the score 3-2. Gilvan, a new goalie, is also improving dramatically with each game.
Tiernan M made a nice move around the goalie in front of the net to get Lucan's fourth goal. It was necessary, as Ilderton scored another close to the end of the game to make it 4-3. The last few minutes involved mad scrambles at both ends of the ice, but when the buzzer went, it remained 4-3 for Lucan.
It was great to see such a team effort and higher intensity from the team.
