Nice win against North Middlesex
Lucan Novice LM won its second game of the year with a strong win over North Middlesex on Nov. 2.
The game showcased the steadily improving team play of the LM players. It featured several nice passes, defence working to keep the puck in the other team's end and continued improvement in backchecking and play in the Lucan end.
Tiernan M led the team with his first hat trick, scoring two goals in the first half of the first period and adding another early in the second. Jayden M and Cash M had assists on the goals.
But North Middlesex stormed back to tie the game with a goal in the first period, then two in the third period.
Reg H scored the winner for Lucan when he hammered home a shot in front of the net, on Jayden's second assist of the game.
The coaching staff was impressed by the level of passing in the game, and the intensity of backchecking, which helped limit shots on goalie Gilvan G-C.
