Aylmer Fall Rep Challenge
Over the last couple of days your Novice rep made the trip to aylmer to participate in the Fall Rep Challenge.

With all the kids devastated that they were missing school on the Friday, they managed to put on a brave face and come out ready to play.

Our first game was against the Aylmer Flames.  The kids played a great game keeping pace with flames every step of the way but with puck bounces not going our way, we couldn't muster up the win.  The score was truly not an accurate depiction of the game we played an outstanding game that could of gone either way.

After a quick team breakfast at Ruby's diner, we jumped in the car and drove to St Thomas for our second game vs the Port Dover Pirates.  Being  EXTREMELY early the team managed to find time to play a quick game of survivor and also found the score light. (Which I am sure they burned out).

Once it was time to get ready the silly switch flipped and it was time to play some serious hockey. After a sluggish start, the coaches asked the kids to put their foot on the gas and never look back. Which is precisely what we did.  Scoring goals quick and often your Lucan Irish never let the Pirates back in the game.  At the end of the horn we were victorious with an 8-2 win!

On Saturday Morning we all anxiously score board watched to see when and who we played next.  Finally at 9:30 am we got the call our next opponent would be the South Kent Lightning. Right from the drop of the puck you knew this was going to be a nail biter. In a back and forth battle at both ends of the rink your Lucan Irish never gave up and fired what felt like a million shots that the opposing goalie(s), making tough stops and the blue line keeping the puck deep in the lightning zone and driving the net for rebounds.  We tried with all of our might and left it all out on the ice.  However it wasn't meant to be.

Even with an early exit to the tournament we still had a great couple of days and we all got to witness some marvellous hockey played by your Lucan Novice Rep.

Thanks again to all the parents and helpers that took the day off work on friday and made the trip to watch.  Again your assistance and support is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
