Pink on the Rink Champions
It's a Gold Medal! The Atom Girls team was undefeated during tournament play last weekend. Congrats Girls.
The tournament started with a game against TCDMHA. The girls were hungry for a win and blew past TCDMHA with a 7-1 win. They played Parkhill during their second round robin game and they shut them out 4-0. Their 3rd round robin game was against Huron Heat, which ended with another victory and shut out. The score was 6-0. This put the girls in the finals against TCDMHA. The game was tied 1-1 after the first period but all the girls gave it their best effort and sailed to a 6-1 victory.
Congrats Megan Foster, Natalie Chalmers, Mackenzie Heywood, Mikayla Liddell, Sarah Foster, Gracie Papple, Nicole Beattie, Taryn Irwin, Gracie Barfett, Keira Pocock and Megan Henderson. What a great team effort and weekend of hockey.
