Our Lucan U13B Girls Team took part in the annual London Devilettes Tournament on February 3-5, 2023.
Our Lucan Team took on the Barrie Sharks, Mississauga Hurricanes and Windsor Wildcats in the round robin play. Our Girls played strong & hard, finished with a 3-0 record, earning a spot in the Semifinals Sunday morning versus the Woolwich Wild. This game was a close checking matchup, with Woolwich taking the early lead, but Lucan battled back & poured on the pressure to tie it in the final period. Woolwich then took the lead in the dying minutes. Lucan then pulled their Goalie in favour of the extra attacker, firing shot after shot at the Woolwich net, even hitting the crossbar in the dying seconds, however Woolwich hung on for the victory.
Congratulations to all the other participating Teams, as well as Woolwich who went on to win the Finals.
