Greeen Vs. Mount Brydges Gold
Lucan was back in Mount Brydges again this weekend to take on the Gold team
Lucan got off to a slow start for the third straight time. Lucan found themselves down 2-0 very early in the first period. Lucan then began the come back showing more energy and finally being able to beat the Gold goalie on a goal by Carter L., on a nice pass from Dylan F. and Gordon L. Up next was one of the best moments of the year so far. Lucan was buzzing around the net with Dylan F. getting the puck to Carter L., who passed the puck out front to Gordon L., who BURIED it for his first goal ever!!!! Coaches, parents and players erupted in cheer. Gordon played the rest of the game with an even bigger smile than he normally has on his face. The Gold team took the game back from Lucan and played a well fought game scoring 3 more times to make the score 5-2. Lucan would not give up the fight, and was able to score one more goal. Gordon L. now has the sight on his stick lined up scored his second of the game. Assists going to Carter L. and Dylan F. This was just not Lucan's day, they were not getting the bounces and didn't win enough battles and in the end Gold beat Lucan 5-3. Although this was not Lucan's day it sure was Gordon's. Gordon went home with the player of the game honors as well as the puck with which he scored his first goal. Great work Gordon, everyone is very proud of you. Keep it up!
