Great first game
Lucan's Novice LM team played its first game on Sept. 28, fighting hard against Mt. Brydges Cougars Red.
This was a game of exciting firsts for many of the players on the team, as it was their first game with offsides and icings. They did well, with one offside call all game.
Reg Hodgins came up with the team's first goal of the year, knocking in a puck in front of the next. His goal brought Lucan to within one goal of Mt. Brydges partway through the first period. But that was all the scoring for Lucan as Mt. Brydges continued to score throughout the rest of the game.
It was good to see how involved in the game the Lucan players were and how hard they tried, no matter the score. That bodes well for the rest of the year.
Congratulations to Gilvan G-C playing his first game in net, stopping several breakaways.
