U21B Boys International Silver Stick Champions 24/25
After winning the Lucknow Regional Silver Stick, the Irish were in Mooretown to compete in the 2025 U21B International Silver Stick, Jan 9-12, 2025. First game was a close loss to Southwest Bullets (2-1 L). Friday and Saturday the boys picked up the pace with wins over Kawartha Lakes Coyotes (3-1 W) and Douro Dukes (3-0 W) to finish 2nd in the pool. Lots of momentum heading into Sunday. The semi-final saw another win against the Kawartha Lakes (3-2 W) to set up a rematch with Douro in the Final.
Fans were treated to one heck of a hockey game. Two goals from Finley in the 1st took the Irish into the 2nd with a 2-0 lead. Dukes scored in the 2nd and the 3rd to tie it up. Irish PP goal from Tauschek to regain the lead. Douro scored their own PP goal late in the 3rd to tie it up again. Finally OT2 saw a winner decided as Lucan's Chase Lee scored for the Irish to win the game. Congratulations to this group of young men for winning the 2025 U21B International Silver Stick Championship.
