LMH Outstanding Volunteer Contest
Submitted By Brian Lewis on Friday, January 11, 2013
Thank you to everyone who submitted a story regarding an LMH Outstanding Volunteer - it is truly a wonderful opportunity to recognize those that dedicate their time and energy towards Lucan Minor Hockey and all of our Hockey players!

In total 18 "stories" about 15 Outstanding Volunteers were submitted to the Lucan Minor Hockey Outstanding Volunteer Program.
Thank You to those individuals who took the time to submit the stories about your volunteers!!

We are asking for the LMH Community's help and participation again.  As we prepare for the Kraft Hockey Goes On contest we are asking each of you to share your vote and to share any additional comments about our 15 Outstanding Volunteers.

Your participation will help us ensure we create the strongest submission to the Kraft Contest (as well as provide additional "Thanks" to the volunteers!)   We know we can count on you to help us with the next step in this initiative!   Thank you in advance for your participation.

What can YOU do?
Participate in the voting and help us create an unforgettable submission for the Kraft Hockey Goes On Contest!!
      CTRL CLICK Here : http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BDRHZHK
  • Read the stories that have been submitted
  • Vote on who you think is LMH's Most Outstanding Volunteer
  • Add your own comments regarding the volunteer (we will use your comments to help make the submission to Kraft Hockey Goes On as strong as possible)
  • You can vote as many times as you'd like - so feel free to complete multiple entries!

What are the next steps:

There are a couple of more "phases" in this initiative:

Jan 11 - 21: LMH will have a chance to "vote" on who they think the Most Outstanding Volunteer and to add additional comments on that individual (they can submit more then one survey)

Jan 21-31: The fundraising committee will create submissions to the Kraft Hockey Goes On Contest combining all of  YOUR feedback.   We will use these combined "stories" to submit the selected LMH Outstanding Volunteer(s)  to the Kraft Hockey Canada Goes On Contest.  At this point it is unclear if there will be a cap on the number of nominations that can submitted, LMH will submit as many as we are able too (based upon the LMH Community's feedback and the volunteer's permission of course).

March 23-29: Canada can "vote" on the Kraft Hockey Canada Goes On contest for the most outstanding volunteer - they will create a shortlist of 100 submissions provided to them.  We are hopeful at least one of LMH's volunteers will make this shortlist - if so we will ask again for your support and our community's support to show how amazing Lucan's Hockey Community truly is!

Why are we doing this?

This is a wonderful way to say thank you to some amazing volunteers who make a big difference to the kids and Lucan Minor Hockey in general!

  • Kraft Hockey Goes On will provide the Hockey Associations that the Top 25 Volunteers in Canada work to support with:
    • 5  - $100,000 prizes
    • 20 - $20,000 prizes
