Important Information
Submitted By LMH on Sun 09 05, 21
To all our valued LMHA members –

Please read below for some important updates regarding the start of our hockey season. The three topics covered below are the OMHA & OWHA vaccination policies, development & try out ice times, and bond cheques.
This is a lot of information, but I encourage you to take the time to review and discuss with your player(s) as this could directly impact your participation in hockey this season, either as a player or a volunteer. I will add, these are OMHA/OWHA policies. LMHA is a member of the OMHA & OWHA, so we must adhere to these mandates.

Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA)  Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA)

On September 2nd (OWHA) and September 3rd (OMHA), our associations released their vaccination
policies/requirements for participation in minor hockey. This mandate applies to ALL players born 2009 or
earlier and ALL volunteers. OWHA’s letter and OMHA’s full policy is included as an attachment in an email to all
LMHA members. IF your player’s status for this coming season will change as a result, please notify us at your
earliest convenience by sending an email to [email protected]net
OWHA full vaccination deadline is October 17, 2021
OMHA full vaccination deadline is October 31, 2021

Development Ice & Tryouts

The schedule, under ‘Development Ice – Team Calendar’, has been posted to the LMH website for the month of
September and start of October. This includes all ice times (development, tryouts, practices, etc). Once teams
are selected, the schedule will be switched over to team specific links. All ice times are subject to change, so we
advise you to review the calendar regularly or add the schedule to your devices using the features on the
website. Any changes will automatically update on your device.
To note, Development Ice is optional. Prior to tryouts/evaluations, a $10 fee will be charged for all ice times for
U9-U18. LMH coaches will be on the ice for these time slots to run drills and help your player(s) shake off the
rust.
TRYOUTS - If your player(s) intend to tryout for a Rep team and you did not pay your $50 tryout fee when
registering online, you will need to pay that fee when registering at the arena, prior to the first tryout. Please
bring cash only.

Bond Cheques

These are due at your earliest convenience. They can be dropped in the LMH mailbox located outside the arena
office (in hallway leading to dressing rooms 5 & 6) OR it can be mailed to the following address:
Lucan Athletic Association
P.O. Box 446
Lucan, ON N0M 2J0
Must be one cheque per player, $175, dated April 22, 2022.

We hope to see you all at the arena soon!
