COVID & Vaccination Protocols
Over the last week there have been some developments that everyone needs to be aware of. Read below for
the latest.
 The Ontario Government regulations have been updated for participants and spectators of minor sports
 Participants: all participants, 17 and under, do not require vaccination; 18+ participants require
proof of vaccination
 Spectators: all spectators that are eligible for vaccination (12+), must be vaccinated
 TO NOTE, current OMHA & OWHA policies require athletes 12+ to be vaccinated by mid/late
October as per previous communication; both organizations are meeting this week to review
these policies. More to come…

 Due to Ontario Government regulations, as of September 22 nd , Lucan Community Memorial Centre
procedures will be as follows:
 All participants and spectators will enter the southeast entrance, near the main hall, for
screening
 All vaccine eligible spectators will be required to present proof of vaccination and photo ID, if
applicable
 You may arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled ice time and must leave the facility within 30 minutes
after your ice time
 Scan the QR code when entering the arena to complete your health screening
 It is recommended that players arrive dressed in as much hockey equipment as possible
 Only 9 players are permitted in the dressing room at one time; this does not include coaches or parents
assisting the player
 If a dressing room has 9 players in it, then additional players will need to wait for a space to open, or put
on skates and helmet in chairs provided outside the dressing rooms
 Please do not rely on coaches to tie players skates – a parent should do this and then leave the room
 Showers are open and available for use
 Spectators capacity limits have been set at 50% or approximately 1000 people
 Everyone in the facility must wear a mask, unless on the ice
 Physical distancing is expected of everyone not from the same household

LMH will continue to monitor the regulations set by the provincial government, local health unit,
municipality/arena, and our governing hockey organizations (OMHA & OWHA). We will keep you as informed as
possible, if/when any regulation changes are announced.
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AT HOME AND AWAY FOR THOSE THAT ARE RESPONSIBLE TO ENFORCE THESE RULES.

Thank you
