Lucan Irish U21 Win OMHA Title
The U21 boys continued their winning ways as they traveled to Kingston last weekend for the 2024 OMHA Championship Finals. The 4 best U21 teams in the province battled to see who would come out on top. It took some time for our team to get comfortable. After losing their first two pool games to the Ennismore Eagles (8-2) and West Niagara Flying Aces (5-2) they got to work besting the Shallow Lake Lakers (7-4) in game 3 and didn't look back. Sitting 3rd in the tournament, their semi-final game saw a rematch with the Lakers. Irish came away with their 2nd victory winning 5-1. West Niagara saw a win over a high-scoring Ennismore team, setting up the final against our Irish.

Lucan found themselves down 3-1. They battled back, closed the gap and tied the game with 1:18 left in the 3rd to send this one to OT. Just one minute in, Lucan's Owen Wragg found the back of the net to clinch the Championship for the Irish. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for representing the Lucan Irish so well all season. Red looks good on you!!
