Volunteering & Bonds
Our organization runs successfully when we have everyone’s support and effort to help us run tryouts, development ice, tournaments, fundraisers and special events.
Parents are required to volunteer 5 hours PER child during the season and it is your responsibility to sign-up to secure your hours. Volunteer opportunities will be posted on the website and in some cases included in the monthly newsletter to the membership.
Starting in 2024/2025 we will no longer require a post-dated cheque. A fee of $250 (per missed commitment) will be levied against the family in the event that a parent does not complete the required commitment (i.e. a parent with 2 kids who does not volunteer will be assessed a $500 fee).
A website form is available here <link to be setup by September 2024> to submit your completed hours. In the event that you do not plan to complete your hours, you can pay the $250 fee via EMT to [email protected]. Please include the name of the player(s) when completing the transfer.
You can work off your bonds volunteering at events or fundraisers, committees or you can participate in roles supporting a team. Each team is allocated 6 family bonds (i.e. covers multiple bonds within the same family) and will be determined by the Head Coach prior to the season start for U9 teams and above. U5/U7 teams will be allocated 4 family bonds for coaches/trainers and a single bond for team manager (i.e. covers 1 committment of 5 hours). Please consult with the Head Coach to confirm your support will be included as one of the 6 bonds. Generally the positions are:
