Introduction
Greetings parents and players, welcome to the Lucan Irish U13 Tier 1Try-Outs.
My name is Jason Thauer and I will be returning as head coach of the U13 Tier 1 team. With 20 years of experience coaching various youth sports teams and seven years with the Lucan Irish girls hockey program, I look forward to building on our team’s successes over the past few years.
I expect every player to be dedicated to learning and to give 100% effort in both practices and games. Our style of play will emphasize aggressive forechecking, creative playmaking and possession-based strategies.
Players will be challenged to build their confidence levels with the puck and make good decisions. Teamwork will be the essence of our approach, ensuring that every player collaborates effectively and supports one another to achieve collective success.
I am committed to fostering a competitive, hard working, inclusive, and fun environment for the players. I am excited for the 2025-26 season and the opportunities it brings.
