Good work by Lucan at an early morning game
Lucan's Mite White team took on St. Marys early Saturday morning on March 10 and St. Marys came out on top, winning the game. There was some pre-March Break sluggishness on the part of both teams, but there was also some great end-to-end rushes and exceptional saves which had parents cheering.
A couple of strong St. Marys shooters challenged the Lucan goalies, but they are doing a much better job of getting their bodies and their sticks in front of pucks, and of coming out of the net to position themselves in front of the shooters. Defenders are doing a good job of helping the goalies clear the pucks from in front of the next.Tyler F showed some great puck control to get some good shots on the goal-stick wielding St. Marys goalies, as he held back St. Marys defencemen to score.Passing and backchecking continue to develop, which is exciting to see.
