The Belmont vs Lucan series was 6 games of some of the best hockey the team has played all season.
The first game saw a 2 to 0 win and we thought that we were going to walk through the series without much problem. We then lost the next 2 games (2-1). We controlled the play throughout much of the games, but we did not get the puck in the net.
We then came back and won the next game (3-1), and tied the following game (2-2). This brought us to the 6th game that saw us pull ahead in the dying seconds of the 3rd period to take the 6 point series.

"THE SUN WAS IN MY EYES" really?!
Words I never thought I'd hear on the bench were uttered during the first of a pair of games this weekend. In the third period during Saturday's game (which we won 2-1) this extrordinary statement was used by Cole D to explain why he did not have his stick on the ice for a pass through the slot. On Sunday, sunglasses were added to this player's equipment. We saw a much stronger outing against some solid goal tending in Alvinston with a 2 to 0 win. All players had a strong game and it was decided to award each player, "the player of the game" award.

The players of the game for the game in Lucan vs Lambton Shores were Cole F and Cam. Both defensem played a perfect game in shutting down the offence of the other team and scored goals in a romp over the opponents in this outing. These two players answered the call to forward position play and took the opportunity to log a few points in response. Everyone played a solid game and welcomed the well tanned coach back from his hard earned rest with a nice win.
