Belmont Series
Submitted
By Dan Regier on Mar 13, 2012 (1634 views)
The Belmont vs Lucan series was 6 games of some of the best hockey the team has played all season. The first game saw a 2 to 0 win and we thought that we were going to walk through the series without much problem. We then lost the next 2 games (2-1). We controlled the play throughout much of the games, but we did not get the puck in the net. We then came back and won the next game (3-1), and tied the following game (2-2). This brought us to the 6th game that saw us pull ahead in the dying seconds of the 3rd period to take the 6 point series. Bring on Point Edward

The Sun was in my Eyes!!
Submitted

"THE SUN WAS IN MY EYES" really?! Words I never thought I'd hear on the bench were uttered during the first of a pair of games this weekend. In the third period during Saturday's game (which we won 2-1) this extrordinary statement was used by Cole D to explain why he did not have his stick on the ice for a pass through the slot. On Sunday, sunglasses were added to this player's equipment. We saw a much stronger outing against some solid goal tending in Alvinston with a 2 to 0 win. All players had a strong game and it was decided to award each player, "the player of the game" award.

Lambton Shores Player of the Game
Submitted
By Dan Regier on Feb 02, 2012 (836 views)
The players of the game for the game in Lucan vs Lambton Shores were Cole F and Cam. Both defensem played a perfect game in shutting down the offence of the other team and scored goals in a romp over the opponents in this outing. These two players answered the call to forward position play and took the opportunity to log a few points in response. Everyone played a solid game and welcomed the well tanned coach back from his hard earned rest with a nice win.

Pt. Edward Player of the Game
Submitted
By Dan Regier on Jan 21, 2012 (929 views)
With our coach sunning himself on vacation, we had to face a team with only one loss on the year. Every player outdid himself from a shutout and an assist from our goaltender, to solid back checking and forechecking by the forewards to keep the Pt Edward team in check. Defence was also solid both in keeping the play in thier end and keeping scoring oportunities away from Pt. Edward. Every player gave 100% and better which lead to an exciting 2 to 0 win. Trying to pick one player out of 11 who raised the level of thier game over any other player was impossible. Congratulations team on a well ...

Mount Brydges Player of the Game
Submitted
By Dan Regier on Jan 15, 2012 (987 views)
Players of the game was a tough call on this outing. Everyone played very well and the choice was difficult. This game saw a tie between Logan and Cole D. Due to illness , our goalie was not able to make the game and our ap goalies were unavailable. Logan stepped forward and volunteered his hand at playing net after a 2 year hiatus. He stopped several break aways and made some great "superman" saves. He played very well against a battle hardened Mount Brydes team with only one loss on the season. We lost 4 to 0 in a closer match than the score would indicate. Our other choice was Cole D, who ...
