Novice LM battle hard against North Middlesex
The Lucan Irish Novice LM team had a very strong showing against their rivals from North Middlesex on Sunday.

The Lucan boys came out hard right from the get go and it was obvious they were determined to make their last game before the Christmas break a good one.  In the first two periods the play was predominantly in the Stars zone where Irish forwards Brody, Ryder, Connor, and Jackson won all of the puck battles along the boards and had a number of scoring chances in front of the net.  Graeme was flashing his soft hands by deking through the North Middlesex team, and using his hard shot to create numerous chances for the Irish.   Keaton made a great second effort play by diving to get a pass to spring Billy for a breakaway and one of his many scoring chances throughout the game.  Grayson, Owen, and Grant continued their terrific defensive play, stopping the Stars team time and time again – forcing turnovers and allowing the Irish to get on the offence and create scoring chances.   Jacob played a terrific two way game, from stick handling into the offensive zone to relentless back checking and stopping shots in the defensive end as well.  Lachlan was once again solid in the Irish net, stopping almost everything that North Middlesex fired at him.  Although we were unable to beat the hot goalie from North Middlesex, the team really showed great energy and spirit,  and gave the fans lots to cheer about.

They boys have shown tremendous improvement since the beginning of the year, and will no doubt be a force in 2016.

Keep up the hard work Irish !
