St.Marys visits Lucan for the first time this season
Both rosters lined up for the puck drop at 8:10am after a quick warm up and sweater change by the home team.
The game started out fast paced as promised. Whenever St.Marys is in town you can bank on a competitive contest and this did not fall short of the expectation.
St.Marys got on the board first with a couple of quick goals, but Lucan bounced back to keep it close with a couple of gritty goals of their own.
Our passing game continues to be strong and several players had very strong outings. Gracie B. was all over the ice and was determined to own the puck as was Grayson P. and Lane H..
It was a valiant effort by both teams as they traded goals and broke a tie game several times, however St.Marys came out on top at the end, with a final score of 8-5.
One player that stood out on the ice was Josselyn V., as she was involved both offensively and defensively and her efforts did not go unnoticed by the coaching staff and fans alike. Therefore Josselyn earned the "Hardest Worker" award for the game. Congratulations Josselyn!
We take to the road tomorrow for another battle against the North Middlesex Stars in Parkhill at 9am.
