Lucan white faceoff against Illderton Gold
Lucan's road trip continued on Sunday January 22 when Lucan travelled to Illderton, to take on the Gold team.
The kids started where they left off in Mt. Brydges, working hard in both ends. Owen W. started off the scoring burying the puck past the Ilderton netminder. The assist went to Carlee V. Lucan got up 3-0 but this was very much a see-saw battle and Illderton quickly came back and tied the game at 3. The teams went back and forth with the next three goals and with 10 minutes to play Lucan was clinging to a 5-4 lead. Illderton then tied the score at 5, coaching staff was asking for a video replay on the questionnable goal, but the ref denied the request. Ilderton scored with 1:30 minutes to play to take a 6-5 lead and in the end Lucan came up just a little short in this hard fought battle. Kaiden W. manned the net for a second game in a row for Lucan, making a number of key saves. Goals went to Owen W.(3), Ethan P, and Matt P. Assists went to Carlee V and Ryder O. Hardest worker for Lucan went to Matt P. who had a great two way game and defintely scored one of the nicest goals of the game. Lucan is back home next week taking on the Lambton Shores Predators.
