Lucan Plays Two on First Weekend in November
Lucan Green would bring in the month of November with two games against Mt. Brydges Red and North Middlesex.
First up was Mt. Brydges Red. This would be a tight game the entire match. Lucan got the lead with three minutes to play in the first perodf. Ben F. buried a goal right off the face-off. Carter H, would make it 2-0 minutes later with assist going to Dylan F. Lucan had a tough second period as Mt. Brydges would score two unanswered goals to square the game at twos. The last period was a battle with both team trading chances, Carson V. kept his team in the game with many saves. With three minutes to play Mt. Brydges jumped on a Lucan turnover and scored what would be the winning goal. In the end Lucan could not respond to Mt. Brydges and the game ended 3-2. Player of the game was Carson V. who was phenomenal Great work Carson.
Lucan was looking to avenge the loss Saturday night. Taking on North Middlesex, Lucan played their strongest game of the year. They were all playing their proper positions, passing the puck and forwards were coming back to help the defense and goalie. Defense were strong pinning the North Middlesex team in their end and protecting our goalie in Lucan's end. At the end of the first period if was 4-0 with Dylan F. scoring and assists going to Tyler F.(3) and Gordon L. Lucan's strong play continued in the second Joel M. stepped up from the point carried the puck in and fired the puck past the North Middlesex goalie for Lucan 5th goal. Assist going to Dylan F. Tyler F. would get the sixth goal on a great pass from Gordon L.. Tyler F. would continue the scoring passing the puck to Dylan F. for yet another Lucan goal. Carter L. got in on the action seconds later scoring on another great passing play. Ben F.. was credited with the assist. Tyler F. and Dylan F. would round out the scoring. In the end Lucan won 10-2. Bobby M. had another stellar game in net. Tyler F. was player of the game for Lucan. Tyler had 2 goals and 4 assists but this was only part of the story. Tyler played his position very well and was always back to help his goalie and defense.
Lucan takes on South Huron Black next week, keep up the great work kids.
