Early Morning in Port Stanley
White was off to Port Stanley Sunday to take on first play Port Stanley White
It looks like all of tyke whites hard work is starting to pay off, with by far their best game of the year. Port Stanley would get out to an early lead but Lucan would fight back and score the next two. Malory D. would get the scoring started and Brooke H. would give Lucan the lead. The game would continue to go back and forth with Lucas G. scoring his first of the game. Macy F would score to put Lucan up 4-3. Port Stanley would storm back and score the next three goals and take a 7-4 lead with 6 minutes remaining. Lucas G would then step up and score two unanswered goals to bring the game back to 1 goal difference with 3 minutes remaining. Lucan would fight for the equalizer but the bounces never went there way and would end the game with a hard fought 8-6 game result. A special points to this game: The kids have been working on off-sides and specifically off-sides where they need to clear the zone and go back in to attack. Coaches had promised slushies for the first time they cleared the zone and the kids didn't just do it once, they did it three time. Awesome to watch kids. Player of the game went to Brooke H. who scored a big goal for Lucan and has been doing a great job of going to the net lately and it was amazing to see her rewarded for going to the scoring zones! Keep going hard to the net Brooke!
