Tyke White has a busy weekend
The Lucan White team had a busy weekend, hosting Lambton Shores Red on Saturday and then going to Thedford Sunday to play Lambton Shores Black.
On Saturday Lucan started out great hustling for pucks, passing, and skating all over the ice. For the first 20 minutes it was a 0-0 tie. Lucan had a tough shift and were down 3-0 and were never able to recover...Final score was 11-3. Goals went to Luke A(3). Assist went to Lauren D. and Dylan F. Lane H. played net for Lucan and made a ton of save, many on breakaways. Hardest worker went to Lauren D. who had her strongest game of the year, was skating all over the ice. Great work Lauren.
Sunday Lucan was looking to get back in the win column when the went to Thedford to play the Black team. The kids were ready to play when the puck dropped but in the first half of the game had spotted the Black team a 4-1 lead. Lucan stepped up and played their best hockey of the year for the remaining 20 minutes of the game. The defense held Thedford black to only one more goal. Lucan scored 7 goals in the final 20 minutes and went on to a 8-5 victory. Lane H. playing his second consecutive game in goal stepped up huge and shut the door, make save after save. Goals for Lucan went to Luke A.(5), Cohen S.(2) and Dylan F. Assist went to Luke A.. Hardest worker went to Mackenzie H. zipping up and down the ice, defending her goal and carrying the puck, keep up the good work Mackenzie.
Lucan has two games next week too, Parkhill Saturday and South Huron on Sunday.
