Lucan White play two exciting games in busy weekend
Lucan White played some great hockey over this weekend.

The theme of the weekend was teamwork and the players did everything their coaches asked of them,  from offence to defense to goaltending Lucan White played amazing.  Saturday they took on Ilderton Gold and took the play to them most of the game.  The kids really played as a team in all ends of the rink.  Dylan F. started the scoring on a pass from Lauren B. seven minutes into the game and the team never looked back.  Carson V. was superb in net making a number of key saves, unbeatable for the first 20 minutes.  Lucan continued buzzing around in the Ilderton zone scoring a number of great goals.  On the defensive side the team was very efficient in clearing the net and getting the puck out of our end and moving to the Ilderton goal.  In the end the team had a great victory, great work team!  Lane H. played the best game of his tyke career and got his first goal.  Keep it up Lane.  For all his hard work he was rewarded with the player of the game.  Scoring for Lucan was Dylan F.(3), Kiera P.(2) and Luke A.(2).   Assists going to Lauren D., Bobby M., Gracie B. and Dylan F.

Sunday the team travelled to Exeter to take on South Huron 1.  The team had a deflating loss to South Huron a couple of weeks ago and they were keen to redeem themselves.   And redeem themselves they did, the team played fabulous against their very strong competition.  There was no quit in Lucan White, fighting for the puck in all ends of the rink.  Lucan had a number of chances but were unable to beat the South Huron goalie.  In the other end of the rink, Carson V. stood on his head making what felt like hundreds of saves. The team was asked to protect their goalie in this game by their coaches and the players did not disappoint, blocking shots and clearing the rebounds.  Lucan White came up short at the final buzzer but every player should be proud of how hard they battled in this game.  Bobby M.  was a rock on defense standing on the blue line and stopping the South Huron players as well as clearing the puck out of our zone and even having a couple good rushes.  Bobby was awarded the player of the game for his effort, keep up the great work Bobby.

Next week White has one game against North Middlesex Stars.
