A high-scoring barn burner
Lucan Tyke Gold team busted out for its highest goal total of the season, but all those goals were needed as Lambton Shores Red wasn't far behind.
The large number of goals came despite the fact the team was playing short a couple of players and that meant extra shifts for everybody.
The scoring was well spread around the team, although Ryder O. led with seven goals. Katie D. caught fire late in the game scoring the last three goals for a hat trick. Other goal scorers included Sadie L., Tyler L. each with two and singles by Grace C., Mitchell B. and Kaiden W.
There were several nice passing plays, including one where Tyler L. sent Mitchell B. in on a breakaway for a goal.
Grayson P. made his debut in net, standing up tall to the Lambton Shores players and making several diving saves.
Lucan Tyke Gold's next game is against the Ilderton Jets Blue team next Saturday at 9 a.m.
