September 21, 2013 – Lucan Atom AE vs. Ilderton – Exhibition Game
And they are off…!
You could feel the energy as the Atom AE team took to the ice for their first exhibition game. With something to prove, the boys took some time to get used to their new positions and get a feel for how they could support their fellow team mates.
The Ilderton Jets proved early that they were a strong team who were not going to give up a win easily. Lucan AE accepted this challenge having no problems holding their line, making it hard for Ilderton to enter the Lucan zone. Some would think that an Ilderton power play goal early into the second period would discourage the Lucan AE squad; however, they continued to fight...skating hard into the offensive zone, pounding the Ilderton goalie with shot after shot.
Hold onto your seats Lucan AE fans…I predict that we are going to witness some great teamwork, improved skills and incredible hockey throughout this hockey season from the following players: Jared C, Sam R, Jake P, Shayne D, Ryan D, Jayden H, Brendan D, Nathan R, Adam R, Graeme I, Mathew S and Garren W!
