Atom AE, U11, 2013-2014 (Lucan Minor Hockey)

Lucan AE had earned their way...all the way to the All Ontario Semi-Finals! This unique group of super stars was scheduled to take on the Parkhill Junior Stars in a series which took place over 3 short days.  The boys in green and white gave it their all during this series! Unfortunately, they were facing a team who was just as determined to play well and win.

We are Lucan…mighty, mighty Lucan! Following in the steps of our Canadian Olympic champions, Lucan AE brought home the win for Lucan Minor Hockey! With a small hiccough delaying the series, the Lucan AE squad was finally all back together and ready to shut down the Lucan/Ilderton series with a bang! Feeling comfortable with their positions, and their teammates, Lucan AE made it look easy as they dominated the majority of the game. 

Give me a “T”…give me an “E”, “A”, “M”, “W”, “O”, “R”, “K”…what does that spell? It spells some of the best teamwork we have seen all season! Well, it was clear today that Lucan AE has been patiently waiting to showcase their finest talents.  Anyone who witnessed this historic event knew from the moment the team took to the ice that they were in for a VERY special treat.  From warm-up to finish…there was not one minute where this team was not united as ONE!

A lot of improvement but little confidence continues to plague Lucan AE as they struggle to find their first win.  As a loyal fan, I know in my heart that these boys have what it takes to be victorious.  In your hearts…you know it too.  Lucan AE…as you prepare for your first win tomorrow, please remember:

Well no one could disagree that this hockey season has been a challenging one. One thing is for certain…the team has met the goals it has set out for themselves at the beginning of the year. Lucan AE has strengthened their endurance, learned their positions (and tried out some new ones) while improving themselves as players.     A new chapter is beginning as the team enters playoffs...
