On November 8th, Lucan AE hosted the St. Thomas Stars. Throughout the game, Lucan AE showcased their awesome power and completely dominated the play from the moment the puck was first dropped. Lucan AE had a strong 1st and 3rd period attacking the puck in the offensive zone forcing the St. Thomas stars to make mistakes. Good positioning and accurate passes in the defensive zone led to smooth breakouts. Unfortunately, some missed opportunities in the 2nd led to 4 unanswered goals by the Stars which proved to be too much to recover from.
On November 9th, Lucan AE travelled to Lambeth to take on the Lambeth Lancers. With a recent tie against the same team, the boys had something to prove and for those who were fortunate enough to witness this event…it was 35 minutes of pure excitement! It was clear from the beginning that Lucan AE was there to win skating strong and hard while passing the puck well. Throughout the game, Lambeth racked up a number of penalties minutes but were fortunate to have a very strong goalie that was hard to beat. Luckily, Lucan AE was evenly matched stopping a number of breakouts and shots on net.
First place…last place…it does not matter to Lucan AE where you fall in the standings. These boys will show up ready to play making their opponents work hard for every point they earn!
