2 games this past weekend!
WOW!.. What a great weekend of hockey we had this past weekend!.. Your Tyke Green Irish earned their stripes playing two hard fought games on Saturday and Sunday..
Game 1 was Saturday against the north Middlesex JR Stars.. Our entire team worked hard and pushed the play down into the offensive zone as often as they could.. We created some great scoring chances and showed great character against a strong opposing side. Ava Kustermans was a rock in net for us and faced down more rubber than the 401 on a Monday morning!.. Our player of the game on Saturday was Grant Hodgins for his grit and determination at both ends of the rink..

Game 2 for the weekend was sunday against our friends from Alvinston.. We were a little depleted on the bench with just 7 skaters, but the extra ice time didn't bother our group one bit!.. We started off a little slow but at about the half way point our team decided they had enough of playing in our end, and started to take it to our opponents.. Decisive break away chances were generated by our players and it was Jackson Hardy who was finally able to solve the Alvinston net minder with a great second effort.. Mackenzie Smith stood strong in our net doing everything he could to stop the puck.. Another upside for our team was  seeing definite signs of strong team play, with players calling for passes and looking for team mates in front of the net to pass to.. It was great to see!!.. Our player of the game was Jackson Hardy.. Not only for his ability to score, but for his great attitude on the bench.. Lets keep it up everyone!..
