Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Tyke Green Nation!.. We played our final two games of 2015 this past weekend, and they were a couple of doozies!.. On Saturday we took on another team from Exeter.. They were a much more seasoned group than our players and we still played a very solid game from start to finish.. Our group continued to show strong improvements with their positional play and generated some very good scoring chances.. Logan Parsons was an absolute stand out for us in net and earned himself our player of the game award!.. I would also like to offer special thanks to Matt Rowley for stepping in to help us on the bench for this game.. Thanks again Matt!!..
On Sunday we played another strong team from Ilderton.. Our group was fired up and ready to go from the opening faceoff.. Every player was engaged and did a fantastic job of consistently getting the play down into the offensive zone.. More continued improvement in our positional play once again created multiple scoring opportunities.. Ava Kustermans decided that she had seen enough of the play in our end and dug in harder than ever to consistently get to the puck and help her team move it down the ice.. Ava's extra efforts in this game earned her our player of the game award!..
This season has been a blast so far and the rest of the season is going to be even better!.. On behalf of the team staff and myself, I want to wish all of our players, parents their families and the entire Lucan Minor Hockey Community the absolute best of the season.. Merry Christmas to all of you and here's to an amazing 2016!!..
