What a game in St.Mary's!
Great game in St.Mary's Mite Green!! The game against the St.Mary's Mite White team was our teams first trip to the Stone Town this year and the team came out firing!
Megan Foster had the hot stick in this game, finding the net 3 times - once she picked the puck up at the Lucan net and took it all the way to the St.Mary's net! Other players that found the net were Cohen, Jack, Spencer, Lucas (who also had an assist), and Lachlan. Nicole was a great asset to her team members with 2 assists, along with Gracie, Zane and Will. We were well matched with St.Mary's and the game ended in a tie. Each week the Mite Green team demonstrates how much they are growing as individual and team players. The skating, passing, goal tending along with the fist (glove) pumps on the bench, the cheers in the changeroom are awsome to see and hear. It is however, making it harder and harder to pick one player as the Super Sport of the Game. This game Jack showed some awsome hussle and never backed down from the chance to get to the puck before the other team or get back to help on defence. Jack certainly earned his Super Sport of the Game award this week! It is always exciting when a player gets their first goal of the season. Cohen earned the game puck, for getting the first goal of the game, which was also his first goal.
It is also getting exciting to see the number of fans growing with each game! Whether home or away, I have to say, Mite Green has the biggest and best cheering section!! Thanks for taking the time to come out and cheer these great players on.
