Novice L/M White, U9, 2012-2013 (Lucan Minor Hockey)

Thank you to the Lucan White team for providing me the privilege of being your “sports writer”; summarizing your successes week after week. Over the past several months we have been witness to some incredible hockey made possible by the determination, skill and teamwork of Lucan Novice White. Let me introduce you to the stars of this team...

Who says that “Hockey Night in Canada” only happens on Saturday night? This Friday night, Lucan White was ready to shut the season down with a “BANG”! Petrolia Grey was the first team introduced to the “Fighting Irish”...who we like to call Lucan Novice White. Both teams spent the first period warming up for the weekend. Not long into the second period Lucan lit it up dumping 3 goals into their opponent's net. With that momentum built, Lucan continued to hammer the brave Petrolia goalie with shot after shot ending the third period with an additional 3 goals finding the back of their mesh. ...

For Shayne and Ryan D.... Lucan White were one of the many Novice teams visiting the Nichols Arena today! The boys had another early start where they were scheduled to take on one of the many Lambeth teams, LL4. Both teams looked strong fighting hard to dominate the game. The Lancers struck first late into the first period; however, Lucan quickly fought back tying up the game with just over a minute left in the first period. Two buried biscuits from the Lancers and one from the Irish in the second fed Lucan's desire to finish off the third period on a high note. With a loss in sight, Lucan ...

Just as the Lucan White is entering their prime...the season is drawing to a close. It was a hard fought battle for Lucan White as they wrapped up their round robin play against South Huron 1 on Friday night. This evening, it was evident that each and every Lucan White player was 100% committed to fighting for this win. Despite their overwhelming desires, as well as their total domination throughout the game, it was impossible to slip one of the numerous attempts on net past the awesome South Huron goalie. The loss this evening was a tough one...

I don't know about anyone else but that was 50 minutes of pure nail biting excitement! Lucan White took on St. Marys 1 in their second round robin game and it certainly turned out to be a well balanced match. There was no score on the board until a minute left in the first period and Lucan White worked extra hard to maintain that lead for the remaining 2 periods coming up with the win in the end. Congratulations to our game MVP Dylan S. who was successful in holding the line today and to all of the boys for their hard work in closing the deal against St. Marys today!
