Irish Take on the Cougars At Home
This game saw your tyke green team complete a series of firsts.
Once again we found our selves on the shorter end of the yard stick up against the mighty Mount Brydges Cougars, but with our standard tough nose play and hard nose attitude we managed to start things off on the right foot.
Shortly after the drop of the puck we saw what is becoming a staple on the goal sheet Cohen S. start off the scoring with another offensive rush that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. He would later go on to add another goal and an assist for a 3 point day.
Following that quick goal we once again found ourselves putting on the pressure with more offence with a Goal from Nate V. and assists going to both Clair W. and Presley B.
Now for our string of firsts. Making his goal tending debut was Ethan H. standing tall and covering the puck at any given opportunity and stopping some of the most difficult shots that tyke green has seen yet.
Our Next frist came from one Drew K. managing to pocket his first goal of his young Tyke Career. Next we got to see Spencer R. score his FIRST goal of his career with a stick to it attitude that was a thing of beauty. Spencer managed to toe the goal line and gobble up a quick rebound and burry it in the bottom corner.
Next was the pure speed and agility of Cash M. that managed to out skate and out skill the cougars "D" to get himself not only one but TWO goals, Assists went to Joselyn V. and Christian F.
During the game we saw once again some shining defensive plays some of which were made by Owen C. followed by some good hard work in the corners by one Colin W.
Back Checking seems to be the name of the game for two small in stature but big in hustle D-Men that go by the names of Kyle V. and Lane H. if it had not been for their hard nose efforts getting back to help out their goal tender the score sheet was sure to look alot different.
At the end of horn tyke green Saw them selves have their First 2 Game winning streak of the season.
For his Hard work in goal Ethan H. was rewarded with the player of the game.
