Icy Morning In Parkhill
This morning we braved the ice and travelled to Parkhill

Once again our team came out rip roaring a ready to go you could hear the intensity in our teams  boisterous chanting before we put one foot on the ice.

This morning we once again we had the tower of power Drew K. in net who from the first shift was already busier then he was on friday evening stoping multiple Star chances.  Drew stood tall during the entire game and played stellar. Thanks for tending goal in back to back games!

We also saw some outstanding defensive zone break out plays today some players that were very noticeable  today during the break out plays were Owen C. (who played what I considered to be his best game to date) Colin W. who also had some offensive chances, Ethan H. also played an outstanding neutral zone game bailing out his defence on multiple occasions.

Nate V. who is becoming a rock on the blue line showed once again some all round hustle, getting back and breaking up multiple Star scoring chances. Josselyn V. is starting to be a force to contend with digging in the corners and skating hard along the boards.

Our first goal of the game came from one Kyle V. who showed some fancy stick work close in front assists going to Spencer R. Next we saw another defensive break out play with some outstanding passes resulting in a Goal from Cash M.  the play saw Cohen S. pass the puck up to one Lane H. who managed to bounce the puck off the Near Boards to a wide open Cash who made no mistake burring  the puck in the back of the net.

With the game tied 2-2 we were able to get another hard nose goal from one Nate V. showing determination skating hard to the net  with his stick on the ice putting us up by a goal.  With time winding down we saw some more tape to tape passing from Presley B. to Cohen S. resulting in another tyke green goal.

In the last 3.5 mins we were subject to a multitude of Star rushes  that came too quick to allow us to recoup which in the end did not allow us to come out on the wining side of the score sheet at the end of the horn.

However to date this was our best "ALL ROUND" game and we should be proud of our play and our positive attitude.

For scoring the opening goal and his outstanding hustle Kyle V. was rewarded with player of the game. Great job Kyle.

Next up we are playing in the John Henry Memorial Tournament come on out and cheer on your Tyke Green.

GO GREEN GO.
