We are starting to look like a well oiled machine!! Coach John made some great observations at the game that he wanted to share....
A couple of things that stood out to me was our team getting the puck out along the boards a number of times and for the most part the team was getting back to play good defence. He noted, Tristan M had a great defensive play, taking the puck away from the other team while back checking. Lachlan P and Gracie W also were using their sticks to get the puck away from the other team. Coach John pointed out the team is really starting to understand their positions and lined up without issue on all face offs. Quinten H showed some great face-off skill. Owen P showed us how much his game is improving infront of the net. Nicole B was owing the right side of the ice and Zane W had a great two way game. Jayden M had a couple of goals, as well as an assist. Lucas H also added 2 and Jack B added one. There was also a great assist from Grayson P. While not ending in a goal, Megan F did have an exciting breakaway that had the fans cheering hard. The sweat on Will M's head told the story on how hard he worked all game stopping some key shots. All in all the kids were excited from the start to end of the game. Many smiles and laughs were seen as they left for home.
