From Red to White...
Today (Feb 1st) Tyke White played Strathroy White for the first time this season.  The change room was quiet, our players were focusing, unsure about what this team would be like.  Were they like their rivals Strathroy Red?  Then the chanting started...Go Lucan Go, Go Lucan Go,  Go Lucan Go....they were ready.

Grayson was our man in net today.  He has been there before, he was focused!
Strathroy White, took charge right away...scored right off the starting face off.  As they went back to centre, our line quickly refocused and Zane answered back with the assistance of Gracie and Lachlan.  Now, the game began....the teams were evenly matched.  The Strathroy goalie was on fire.  He shut out several awesome shots from our players.  Grayson was also shutting down some good shots from Strathroy.  Today's game was clearly a situation where the effort did not equal the reward.  Tyke White was going after the puck, shooting up the boards, getting back on defence, setting up infront of the net....they were doing it all, and doing it well.  Zane had the never give up attitude, Lachlan was taking charge and even had a break away shot, that just missed.  Lucas had a show stopping goal that made scoring look easy.  Megan and Nicole were defence superstars.  Even after falling Jackson never stopped trying to clear the puck.  Gracie and Will had a few "oh so close" well played shots thanks to being set up in front of the net.  Jayden had his head up and either new when to pass or was ready to receive the pass.  Quinten also had the never give up attitude today.  If a player from Strathroy had the puck heading for Grayson, you would be sure to see Jack coming up fast to stop the shot.  Tristen was playing a well rounded game, showing great skill on defence and offence.  It was not an easy decision for the coaches to determine the game puck and Super Sport receipients today.  Good work to Tristen (Super Sport) and Lachlan (game puck).
We are over half way through our season, and our team is really showing that they are "a team".  They look for each other, they use each other, they encourage each other, and they have FUN together!
The score board may not have shown a win for us today, but we did not lose!!
High fives to everyone!
