At home against Ilderton White
On Saturday we hosted the Ilderton White team.  Cohen was dressed and ready for his turn between the posts.  After a busy hockey schedule over Christmas, the team had been off a few days and were itching to get back on the ice.

Our players have been working very hard on learning and playing the different positions on the ice.  So, for this game the coaches wanted our players to focus on setting up, and passing the puck.  To help motivate the kids to do this, they had a little assist challenge.  It was great to see the players take this challenge and really focus on getting into good positions and doing a great job of passing and receiving the puck.  The winner of the assists challenge was Jackson, with 3 assists.   Not only did he have the most assists, but his great hussle and well played moves also earned him the Super Sport award.  Another player who usually demonstrates great defensive skills, really focused on getting himself set up in front of the net and being ready to receive the great passes from his teammates.  His hardwork was also rewarded with two goals (assited by Jackson and Jack) and one assist (for Jack) and for that Tristan received the game puck.  All our players work so hard each and every game.  Some other goal scorers this game were Will with 3, assisted by Lucas, Lachlan and Gracie, Jayden found the net twice with assists from Zane, Jack and Grayson. Jack had a goal with an assist from Tristan and Grayson, and Gracie had a goal with an assist from Jackson and Lachlan.
While they may not be on the score sheet, it needs to be pointed out that the puck would not even find the sticks of fellow teammates without the never failing hussle of Megan, Owen and Nicole.  The great team work on the ice made Cohen's job in net pretty stress free!  However, when faced with a chllenger, Cohen did a great job keeping the puck out of the net and earned himself a shutout!
Fist pumps for everyone.  A well deserved victory!
