Victory in Parkhill!!
On January 19th, two curses were broken!!  We finally defeated Parkhill and we won using the blue puck!!  What a happy day for Tyke White!

Zane was fired up.  He was ready to defend the net!!  The rest of the Tyke White team was also pumped up.  After so many close games, our players wanted to show Parkhill we could win.
Several minutes went by with end to end action, but neither team was getting the puck past either goalie.  Zane was certainly showing just how well he could stop any shot.  The blue puck was doing it's crazy bounces and funny rolls, but our players seem to be catching on, and were almost one step ahead of the puck most of the time!  Our players were digging for the puck and taking charge when they needed too.  Then...Parkhill found a hole and put one in the net!! That just refired our players and within a few minutes with the help of Jack, Lucas put one in!! That wasn't enough for Tristan, because one minute later he also put one between the posts, we were now up one.  I am not sure what got into our players, but they were not going to be happy only being up by one because just two minutes later with the help of  Jayden, Gracie slipped one past the Parkhill goalie to make the score 3-1.  Forget the blue puck, forget we were in Parkhill, our players were on fire.  Our final goal of the game was scored by Will.  Parkhill did find net one more time, but that was all Zane was going to let get past him.  When the final buzzer went, the fans were on their feet!! What a game.  It is amazing what these players can accomplish when they put their skill and determination together and work as a team.  Three cheers for Tyke White!!
For showing that he can dig for the puck, take charge and work hard on defence, Lachlan received the player of the game.
We will face Parkhill again...on our ice :-)
