Three Cheers for White!!
AMAZING...OUTSTANDING...nerve wracking...heartstopping....all these words describe today's game against Strathroy Red!!  I know there are a lot of fans that no longer have a voice and/or finger nails.  I think Coach Matt almost needed the defibrillator to restart his heart a couple times!!

One thing is for sure...EVERY Tyke White player on our team needs to be so proud of themselves today, for digging deep and playing hard until the very end...when the end finally came!!
The game started off looking really good for us.  Megan was in net today and she was smiling her winning smile and ready to go!  Apparently Will lit his stick on fire at yesterday's game and it was still buring today.  Within the first 10 minutes of the game, Will found the net twice.  He had some great help from Grayson and Zane.  The goal scoring for Will did not stop there, infact, Will scored two more time with an assist from Gracie. Our final goal (in regular play), was thanks to some awsome skating and stick work from Zane.
Even with our great skating, awesome team plays, and great defence, Strathroy stayed right on our heels, and kept the score tied.  Megan was ruthless in net.  She made some incredible saves, that kept the fans on their feet!  When the buzzer went at the end of regulation play, we were tied 5-5.  We then headed into 3 on 3 overtime.  Our players were tired, but they still had drive left in them.  There was some amazing end to end action, more great save from Megan, and some "oh, so close" shots on the Stathroy net.  Yet, at the end of the 5 minutes, we were still tied.  So, next we faced a shoot out.  After 5 shots, we were still tied (anyone else see that amazing glove save from Megan?!!) So, it went to sudden death.  It was here that Strathroy took the win...but, WOW, what a game, what a team, what a proud moment for each and every fan in the stands.
Each player was a winner today.  However, the one player who needs to be recognized for her unflappable performance today,  is Megan - she was today's  Player of the Game.  We also awarded a game puck to Will, for his "on fire" performance - both during regulation and in overtime.
Now, we just need to wait to find out if our efforts will get us to the finals tomorrow....??!!
